The FAST (Futbol Accelerated Skills Training) Program is a competitive elite soccer development program designed to provide a more advanced skills foundation for younger (pre-U11 aged) players than is currently available in other locally available options. With experienced, professional coaches and proven success, the FAST program prepares players to play soccer at the very highest level.
FAST Juniors Program (birth years 2009, 2010, 2011)
The TFCA Fast Juniors program creates a positive environment that maximizes the player’s growth as a person, student and player. The Fast Juniors emphasis is on individual technical development for advanced players. The program is for players looking for a more competitive training environment than what they can find in the normal recreation option. With the direct involvement of TFCA Directors and coaches (no volunteer coaches) Fast Juniors players will be getting a head start on their soccer development. Our focus is teaching the fundamentals of soccer in a positive environment that emphasizes creativity. We focus on building a strong relationship with the ball. Each session will be high in energy, fun and have positive coaching. Fast Juniors coaches will encourage our players to express themselves and make their own decisions.
The FAST Juniors program is open to all players in these age groups. Players are permitted to play in a rec program as well as FAST Juniors.
2009: $225 for the ten week program and will train 2x/week.
2010-2011: $105 for the ten week program and will train 1x/week.
FAST Juniors players will train with a TFCA Director as well as coaches hired by TFCA (no volunteer coaches). Players will participate in five “game days”. TFCA Directors and coaches will be running the game days (again no volunteer coaches).
Players will also be responsible for buying the TFCA FAST Juniors uniform. Cost will be under $50.
Training Schedule (Spring 2017):
We will be holding the program in four locations. Cary/Apex/Morrisville, Durham/Chapel Hill, and Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina and Raleigh.
Trainings will begin February 22 and end the week of April 24. (Make-up days are week of May 1.)
Second Day Training Schedule (2009s):
Game Day Schedule:
Players will play in five “game days” during the season. The five game days will be on Sunday afternoons. Game format will be 4v4. Games will consist of four ten minute quarters. Game days will give our players a chance to use the skills that they are learning in a game environment. Teams from the three regions will meet and play against one another for the game days. TFCA Directors and coaches will be at the games to coach the teams (again no volunteer coaches).
