Former TFC Coaches - Where Are They Now?

Since its inception in 1999, the Triangle Futbol Club has widely been recognized as having one of the top coaching staffs in the country.  Much like former TFC players moving on to national teams, college programs and now the coaching ranks, TFC has many former coaches that have moved on to MLS and top college programs around the country.

Former 87 Navy Boys coach Mike Jacobs and current Head Men’s Coach at University of Evansville (IN) comments,

"The opportunity for me to work with Triangle Futbol Club came at an ideal time of my own development as a coach, and offered valuable practical experience. While working at Duke University, I gained a lot of insight from a true legend in coaching, John Rennie. Coaching the 87 Navy team offered me a great opportunity to put a lot of those theories to practice in my own team.

What makes TFC so unique is the standards set by its leadership- started by John Rennie and Al Pastore, and carried on by Pete Sadin, Marlow Campbell and Dewan Bader.

The experience working with TFC became a formative one- not only do I stay in contact with many of my former players, but was able to maintain my TFC connection since becoming the Head Coach at the University of Evansville- coaching two former TFC players that I had the opportunity to work with previously (Alec Dufty, Kipp Erskine), and hiring current assistant coaches who also honed their skills as TFC coaching staff members (Marshall Ray, Michael Pereira)."
