Tourney raises money for scholarship fund

The 2014 Triangle Futbol Club Alliance Golf Tournament, held on Monday, April 21st at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh, was a huge success, raising over $3500 for the TFCA scholarship fund!  Gorgeous weather and friendly competition made the event enjoyable for all who participated.  Especially popular was the AR15 Assualt rifle shot at hole #10.  Golfers who chose to participate could use the rifle to shoot their ball over 380 yards, and teams were allowed to use that as their drive.  The putting contest, with the prize of four rounds of golf to Caledonia Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, and the cash cyclone machine were also favorites.  Prizes worth more than $3000 were awarded!  UNC basketball legend Phil Ford also played and gave personalized autographed basketballs as part of the raffle prizes.  Prizes worth more than $3000 were awarded!

The chicken and barbecue dinner at the clubhouse capped off a perfect golf outing on a beautiful course with new and old TFCA friends.  Several golfers remarked that while the golf and contests were exciting, their favorite part of the event was the camaraderie.

We hope to see you on the course next year for this annual event!
